Sale and trading of commodities

 

For more than 20 years I have been active in sales and trading of commodities, in particular the solid fuels coking coal, PCI, thermal coal and coke. My education enables me to quickly get involved in other raw materials – as part of my PhD studies I prepared a market analysis of industrial minerals.

 

Building of new markets and sales structures

 

I developed new markets for various companies. My geographical focus has been on Germany and Central Europe.

 

Compliance und credit-worthiness

 

New contractual partners have to be selected on basis of compliance and credit criteria. In cooperation with the legal department, I will prepare unambiguous and binding commercial contracts.

 

Pricing

 

On basis of a market analysis I develop models to price commodities. This might involve the analysis of existing models with subsequent improvements of these models.

 

Expertise on mining and refining processes

 

Existing processes have to be tested in light of current market. Depending on the results, processes might have to be adapted in cooperation with the production management.
